Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD (first labeled as Atention Deficit Disorder or ADD) was first noted in 1798 by Dr. Crichton. This disorder historically seems to be diagnosed more often in males. There have been quite a list of pharmaceutical drugs used in the 'treatment' of this disorder, all of which have a long list of potential side-effects. Today there are six different varietals of ADHD, each with their own diagnosis and pharma treatment protocols. Low activity of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPAA) has been observed in patients with ADHD. There is a link between the state of functioning of immune/endocrine systems and ADHD which is being explored by modern medicine. A recent study in Taiwan has shown a correlation between ADHD and adrenal gland dysfunction.

Two and one half teaspoons tea to two cups cold water in a small pot. Slowly bring to simmer (not rolloing boil). Simmer 20-30 min. Remove from heat and cover. Allow to infuse for 30min to overnite. Strain and serve.
